Malaga Wine Museum
The Wine Museum in Malaga is located in the historical town centre, at the Palacio de Biedmas, a restored building from the 18th Century with some baroque components.
It expects to be a space where history, culture, art and upbringing about the wines of the province of Malaga coexist. For that reason, it has the exhibition of more than 400 lithographs, an Interpretation Centre, a Wine Testing Room, a Training Lecture Room and a Gift Shop. Besides, it will house the head office of the Regulating Council of the Denominations of Origin Malaga, Sierras de Malaga and Pasas de Malaga.
The museums offer includes a set of services and activities amongst which are worth mentioning: Museum Exhibition Room, Wine Tasting Room, Auditorium, Training Room, and Gift Shop.
The Museum activity must go beyond the proper of a museum and become an Advertising Centre of the wine culture and, more specifically, of the wines produced in Malaga; a centre to stimulate the training and popularization of all the techniques and knowledge related to the production, preservation, improvement and promotion of the wines in all their varieties; and of all the other activities which, starting from the vine and the wine, may benefit the sector.
